How We Work
RVAg has been providing access to fresh, local food to the Richmond and Central Virginia communities through our area farmer's markets since 2011 when we opened our Manakin Market, our flagship market.
With the addition of our year-round Online Marketplace, we now offer market shoppers an additional way to purchase farm fresh local food, while supporting our farmers to keep valuable farmland in production. Some of these vendors also sell at our in person farmer's markets; some are exclusive to the online market. It is worth shopping at both!
Every Wednesday, your order is delivered straight from the farms and producers to our staff. We aggregate them immediately at the Chiknegg Incubator Kitchen, sorting and storing them for delivery that afternoon or the next day to your chosen pick-up location. We have several different pick-up sites in your local area on Wednesday or Thursday. We take FRESH seriously - Choose the location that works best for YOU each week!

OPEN Thursday night at midnight and
CLOSE Monday night at midnight.
Farms and Producers pick and pull your order on Tuesday and drop with RVAg on Tuesday or Wednesday Morning. Your order is in your hands as early as Wednesday afternoon! Some vendors sell out quickly, like specialty produce, herbs and fresh caught seafood, so consider shopping early for your favorite items!
Unlike other online markets, there is NO ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE to shop.
Once you Register on the site and choose your Preferred Pick-up Location, you can begin shopping.
Our list is long and new products come on weekly! Browse by category to compare similar items easily and to make shopping simpler (click Search at the top of the page, choose a category). Look for the "view details" or "more sizes available" button under some products to see all sizes or varieties of that item in stock. that they have in stock.
Fill your basket and then pay for your order online by credit card, debit card or Paypal. You can change your preferred pick-up location at any time prior to paying for your order.
We now accept EBT and also honor the SNAP Fresh Match grant, which means your shopping dollar goes twice as far! Once your shopping is complete, call Theresa at (804) 651-3165 anytime before Monday at 5:00 pm to make EBT payment arrangements.
Pick up all your farm fresh food and products a couple days later at one of our many area pickup locations, including our farmer's markets when they are open.
If you choose Home Delivery, be sure to leave an adequately sized cooler at your front door. Order items that require cooler or freezer will be placed inside; other items in our signature green bag will be placed on top for a touchless delivery. You will receive a text or call once your order is delivered.
IT'S THAT EASY!
There is a $2 Aggregation Fee per weekly order. Thie aggregation fee covers farm pickup, food aggregation, customer pick up, customer service, marketing and management of our online platform.
We also offer $12 Home Delivery within 10 miles of certain pickup locations (no tipping needed).
